Although there is no exact map of where the old Fort Tabby once stood, based on extensive research,
we are located within just a few hundred feet of the original fort site.
It is our belief that this 3.5-acre piece of ground was always meant to be preserved as a place
of peace and tranquility — in remembrance, honor, and celebration of Chief Tabby, its rich history,
and how it came to be.
Fort Tabby is a private campground with public water, restrooms, and showers.
On opening day, we currently plan to have 13 campsites and 4 tipis, with future plans to add cabins and wagons.
We welcome all and hope that you have a desire to learn while you’re here.
